Kitomba NZARH Salon of the Year

Prize: A trip for two to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains

The Salon of the Year is selected from the winners of all other Awards. In each category the judges are looking for the complete, profitable, salon business that performs to a high level in all areas. It has:

  • Exceptional performance metrics eg rebooking%, retail%, average spend.
  • Planned and effective marketing
  • Effective staff communication & incentives
  • Efficient processes throughout
  • A focus on growth and profitability

Salon of the Year, Grand

Prize: NZARH membership for One year

The Salon of the Year: Grand is selected from entrants with turnover more than $500,000*.
This category is results driven so judges weigh up performance figures relating to:

  • Chemical services
  • Profitability
  • Rebooking
  • Retail sales
  • Treatment
  • Utilization
  • Wages %

Salon of the Year, Classic

Prize: Shock Consulting Coaching Package

The Salon of the Year: Classic is selected from entrants with turnover between $250,000-500,000*.
This category is results driven so judges weigh up performance figures relating to:

  • Chemical services
  • Profitability
  • Rebooking
  • Retail sales
  • Treatment
  • Utilization
  • Wages %

Salon of the Year, Boutique

Prize: Shock Consulting Coaching Package

The Salon of the Year: Boutique is selected from entrants with turnover less than $250,000*.
This category is results driven so judges weigh up performance figures relating to:

  • Client numbers
  • Client spend

Entrepreneur of the Year

Prize: One Years access to Kitomba One's Online Applications

The judges are looking for:

  • A clear thought process/strategy behind the initiative
  • A degree of risk-taking
  • Successful entrepreneurial activity. It could be in opening new businesses, developing new products or services, process improvement or promotion.
  • Testimonial support and success measures are needed

Business Sylist of the Year

The judges are looking for a stylist who delivers business performance. Individual performance metrics reviewed include:
